In memory of Lisa - Spread happiness in the name of those we know who have fought or continue to fight Cancer.

On July 4th, 2010 after a 16 month battle with inflammatory breast cancer, Lisa Bowman passed peacefully while surrounded by family and one of her doggies, Frances.

Her spirit, beauty, sense of humor (arguably the world's best), love of animals and life should be celebrated with happiness and cheer.

Today, in honor of Lisa, all of those who continue their battle with cancer and for those who have lost their battle - let's gove some support and spread some happiness and laughter to both people and their pets!

Give your dog an extra long walk, a super great game of fetch, or a fantastic training session that you've been putting off too long.

For those with friends and family who continue their battle with cancer, reach out and remind them of your love and support. Cook them a meal, go hang out and chat or just watch TV, offer a stroll in the park. Give them a hug.

Here's to the beautiful Lisa, her contagious and devilishly innocent laugh, magnificence and wit. She’d totally be absorbing and welcoming all of this flattery!

About the lovely Lisa Bowman

Lisa Bowman, was a long time dog walker, dog trainer and doggy rescuer.
Lisa was born and raised in Rochester, New York in a lovely family to include two sisters. Lisa graduated from Mount Holyoke with a degree in English before moving to NYC.
Lisa spent a stint as an elementary english teacher before taking up dog walking, a dog training apprenticeship and becoming a dog trainer. Lisa loved her rescued sheltie pups, Stan and Fran.

Lisa and Aaron Hankowski married on October 31st, 2009 at the beautiful Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, NY.

On March 10, 2009, Lisa was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer and so began her 16 month battle that ended July 4th, 2010.

Lisa was a genuine, kind, caring, hilarious, soft soul who could find laughter and comedy in almost anything she experienced.
